Grammy-nominated harpist Deborah Henson-Conant, creator of the electric harness-harp and the reinvention of that instrument, will perform at the Turlock Community Theatre on Thursday, March 1, at 7:30pm. According to a news release, NPRs Scott Simon called her the talented love-child of André Previn and Lucille Ball blurring the line between music and theatre. Every concert is a kaleidoscope of blues, Latin, flamenco, jazz and Celtic music, the news release continued, and it quoted Steve Vai, another musician as calling her "the Jimi Hendrix of the harp."
