'Dream Big -- Read!'

LIVINGSTON -- The Livingston Library is celebrating "Dream Big -- Read!" for this year's summer reading program, which runs through Aug. 8. Read a book, keep a log and you can earn prizes. Also, story time is every Wednesday at 4 p.m. at 1212 Main St. Call (209) 394-7330.

Irrigation exhibit opens

The Merced County Courthouse Museum will open a new exhibit, "A History of Merced County Irrigation," today at 5 p.m. Merced Irrigation District is sponsoring the exhibit. Call (209) 723-2401.

Youth baseball camps

Class of '72 reunion

Vacation Bible School

LE GRAND -- Le Grand United Methodist Church will hold its Vacation Bible School July 9-13 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. at the church, which is at the southwest corner of Washington and Adams streets. Book donations sought

The Friends of the Merced County Public Library used bookstore has a great need for 2-year-old paperback and hardback donations. There's also a big demand for Western paperbacks of any age. All money raised goes to the library to buy new materials. The bookstore is at 2100 O St. and also has videos, books on tape and old collectible records.
