Boy shot in Los Banos in critical condition

LOS BANOS -- Police are investigating the shooting of a 14-year-old boy Tuesday.

At 11:17 p.m., officers responded to reports of a shooting in the 200 block of West I Street. When officers arrived, they learned the teenager had been taken to Memorial Hospital Los Banos.

Police said the boy was suffering from a gunshot wound to the abdomen. The juvenile was flown to a Modesto-area hospital, where he remains in critical condition.

Officers reported finding a loaded gun in the 200 block of West I Street while processing the crime scene.
