Uniformed Services group to hold picnic

ATWATER -- The National Association for Uniformed Services,

H. Wayne Hein Chapter 18, will hold its annual picnic Saturday at Veteran's Park on the corner of Bellevue and Buhach roads from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tickets are $3 for two tickets, $2 for one ticket. Call (209) 358-4834.

Conference to offer help with relationships

Del Corazon Guild holding a poker run

The Del Corazon Guild will host its fifth annual Poker Run on Oct. 6 from 6 to 10 p.m. starting and ending at Bob Hart Square. Tickets are $40 per person and include a poker scorecard, dinner, a wine and beer tasting, live music, dancing and no-host bar. Proceeds will benefit Children's Hospital Central California. Club Mercedes plans menudo on Sundays
