Military heroes honored

The American Legion Riders Post 83 will hold a ceremony at the Veterans Memorial Building, 939 W. Main St., on Friday at noon to honor military veterans who have been killed in action since Sept. 11, 2001, in the Iraq and Afghanistan wars. After the ceremony, there will be an open house and a hot dog and chips lunch.

Clean comedy, music

Tena Williams and The Boys and Girls Clubs of Merced County will present "Kings and Queens of Clean Comedy, Unity and Diversity" on Saturday at the Merced Theatre.
