Second arrest made in G Street/Childs Ave. homicide

MERCED -- Merced police on Thursday arrested a 20-year old man in this month's fatal shooting near G Street and Childs Avenue, the second arrest in the case.

Merced County jail inmate Lo Sin Saeteurn was informed by Merced police that he's a suspect in the Sept. 9 homicide of Kai Saelee, 33. At the time of his arrest Thursday, Saeteurn was already being held at the jail for allegedly violating his probation, according to Lt. Tom Trindad.

During their investigation, detectives searched Saeteurn's car and a found a 9 millimeter Glock, which they believe was used in the shooting.

The second suspect in the case, Sou Finh Saeturn was taken into custodylast week at his residence.

Saelee, the victim, was found in his driveway around 11:30 p.m. Sept. 9 bleeding and unconscious. He was later pronounced dead at the hospital. Police said the crime is gang-related, and the victim and suspects were all documented gang members.
