Carol Campodonica: Whom to vote for

Did you know that Fresno County contributed $5.9 billion while Merced County produced $2.7 billion, Stanislaus $2.5 billion and Madera $1.3 billion in revenue in 2010?

Our farmers and farm laborers work diligently to bring food to the table. Consequently, the element it lacks is enough water to give nourishment to the plants and trees growing in the San Joaquin Valley.

California generates enough money from agriculture to become a nation all by itself, combined with oil and other businesses in the state. California agriculture feeds 40 percent of our nation.

Who should we elect to improve farming? Jack Mobley will work to defend the water rights of the farmers. Mobley will remove bad legislation on businesses in California, creating jobs.

Brian Whelan has several solutions to the water problems in California and the nation. He'll introduce legislation to fix the water problems for farmers and help businesses. Whelan is interviewing viable companies in hopes to hold a job fair.

Elizabeth Emken, if elected to the U.S. Senate, will vote in favor of Brian Whelan's legislation.
