Peter Lizdas: Romney flip-flops yet again

Thanks to Mitt Romney for once again making my day. Just heard a sound clip of Romney, back in 2010, explaining how the uninsured's reliance on the ER for basic health care does not make medical or economic sense. It was a well-thought out statement, logical, reasonable, even compassionate. It could have come from the mouth of a progressive -- like Obama. So, his latest etch-a-flop on the role of the ER in our "safety net" shows, once again, that he goes whichever way the political wind blows. Romney is the most transparently unprincipled politician I've ever seen in my lifetime, one who can reverse a previously held position with whiplash speed.

He's done it again and again. He will literally say anything or adopt any extreme policy position, if he thinks that is how to get the needed votes.

But this penchant for self-reversal has become so obvious to the public at large he is now probably well past the point of being able to establish the credibility necessary to win a majority of the electoral vote in November.

The Romney "gaffe of the day" is a steady source of humor, for which I can only be grateful.
