Love Inc. rummage sale set for Saturday

Love Inc. will host a rummage sale from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday at the United Methodist Church, 899 Yosemite Park Way. There will be furniture, household items, appliances, electronics, games and more. Donations welcome. SPCA holds take-out dinner fund-raiser

The Merced Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals will host their take-out dinner fund-raiser from 2 to 4 p.m. on Oct. 20 at Rizzonelli's, 591 Belleve Road. Tickets are $10 and the dinner will be rigatoni, salad and bread. Call (209) 384-7722 or (209) 723-8953.

Turlock Auto Swap Sunday at fairground

The Turlock Fall 2012 Auto Swap Meet will be held from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday at the Stanislaus County Fairground. The event features all kinds of auto parts that are up for sale. Annual Harvest Lunch planned for Oct. 24

The Merced Area Church Women United will hold its annual fund-raiser luncheon from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Oct. 24 at the Hoffmeister Center, 1920 Canal St. Tickets are $7 and there will be a raffle. Call (209) 723-5609 for details.

Aglow Lighthouse

Merced Saturday Aglow Lighthouse will meet Saturday at 11 a.m. at the Calvary Temple Pentecostal, 2740 N. Highway 59. The speakers will be The Yosemite Gateway Area Team, Marji Peterson, Irva Keith, Linda Bombard and Fran Schnieder.

Men's Day Out

South Merced Old Timers will host Men's Day Out from noon to 7 p.m. on Saturday at Rahilly Park, 3400 N. Parsons Ave. There will be a barbecue get- together, soul food, games and fun. Call (209) 722-0845 for details.

Animal blessings

Last Hope Cat Kingdom will hold a St. Francis of Assisi Blessing of the Animals at 1 p.m. on Sunday at 6660 Bailey Ave. There will be a potluck after the blessing. Bring your pet and a dish to share. All leashed pets are welcome.
