Thursday, the Political Science Students Association at UC Merced will be holding its first state Assembly debate between Democratic candidate Adam Gray and Republican candidate Jack Mobley.
PSSA is a student-run, nonpartisan organization that strives to develop and foster a culture of political awareness among UC Merced students and the greater Merced community. Our goal is to provide people with the tools and knowledge to be active and knowledgeable participants in our democratic system.
As we value professionalism and would like to have similar events in the future, we have been meticulous in ensuring that both candidates are comfortable and aware of the structure of the event.
Here are the details: Thursday, 6:45-8:15 p.m. in UC Merced's California Room. Volunteers will help guide attendees to the event. Free parking after 6 p.m. in Lake Lots 1 and 2. Debate questions can be sent to pssa.ucm@gmail.com
We hope you can join us for an informative evening of discussing issues that are pertinent to the 21st Assembly District.
