Two juveniles arrested after shots fired in Livingston

LIVINGSTON -- Two juveniles were arrested in Livingston Thursday for possession of meth, resisting officers and probation violations, according to Sgt. Ray Fong of the Livingston Police Department. There were no injuries or firearms located, police said.

Officers were dispatched to a shots fired call around 3:30 p.m. on 8th and F streets where they found the two juveniles. Police said they immediately started running from the officers.

Witnesses said a grey sedan was driving east on F street toward 8th with a Hispanic male walking beside the car on the sidewalk. According to witnesses, the man on the sidewalk made a gesture towards the car then ran to the intersection of 8th and F street, where a group of men were standing.

One of the men in the group drew a handgun and began shooting at the car. The victim vehicle and occupants have not been located, police said. Officers found several shell casings from a handgun near the intersection.

Anyone with information should call the Livingston Police Department at 394-7916 or the anonymous tip line at 394-3640.
