Five For Friday

1. BUHACH COLONY (1-0 CCC, 4-2) at MERCED (1-0, 4-2): The Thunder looked dominant in a 28-7 win over Pitman last week. Stefon Gold exploded for 179 yards and three TDs. Can the Thunder defense slow down the Bears? Tight end Bradley Adamson has caught 25 passes for 482 yards and eight TDs.

2. PITMAN (0-1 CCC, 5-1) at ATWATER (1-0, 5-1): The Pride are coming off their first loss. This is a statement game for the Falcons as they play just their second home game of the season.

3. LOS BANOS (1-1 WAC, 5-1) at PATTERSON (2-0, 5-1): Los Banos rebounded from its first loss of the season with a 45-0 drubbing of Ceres. QB Chris Corpuz has passed for 1,085 yards and 15 TDs.

4. HILMAR (2-1 TVL, 6-1) at RIPON (3-0, 7-0): Must-win for Hilmar if they want a shot at the TVL crown. Defense will be in for a challege against a Ripon offense averaging over 44 points per game.

5. GOLDEN VALLEY (0-1 CCC, 3-3) at TURLOCK (0-1, 333): The Cougars' best chance for a conference win, but they'll have to contain QB Sean Downs.
