RIGGLEMAN: Robbed man thankful for help

On Wednesday night I was in my power chair going down East Alexander Avenue. A man was walking on the other side of the street. All of a sudden, he was behind me. He grabbed me around my neck and started choking me. He grabbed my headset and iPod and ran off with it. I was screaming at him and chasing him. These two men in a car saw and heard me. They came to my rescue. When they jumped out of the car, he ran like a scared rabbit. I want to thank these two men that came to my rescue. He did get away with my iPod, but the next morning, the police caught him. Thank you, Merced's finest.
