ARACELI HERNANDEZ: Prop. 30 for Merced College

The passage of Proposition 30 is essential for education in our state because it stops budget cuts and provides needed funding for our schools.

This is particularly true for Merced College. In contrast to Proposition 30, if Proposition 38 passes there will be no funding for Merced College.

Merced College students already pay more for education, yet get fewer classes, packed classrooms, and fewer resources.

If Proposition 30 does not pass, up to 106 more classes will be cut at Merced College.

Many of your readers have attended or been served by Merced College; Merced College now needs the favor returned.

Please vote for Proposition 30.
