'Cruel and Unusual' screening

Knights' Soccer Challenge

Youth Leadership Conference

LOS BANOS -- The League of United Latin American Citizens Council 3072 and the Los Banos Unified School District will present the 14th annual Youth Leadership Conference from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday at 200 Ward Road. Halloween Costume Ball

A Halloween Costume Ball will be held from 7:30 p.m. to midnight on Oct. 26 at the Italo-American Lodge, 1351 18th St., Merced. It will include dance performances and a costume contest. Tickets are $30 in advance and $35 at the door. You must be 21 or older to attend.

Saddle club Halloween event

Youth Cheer Clinic planned

Merced High School cheerleaders will host their annual Youth Cheer Clinic from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. on Oct. 28 in the Merced High gym, 205 W. Olive Ave. Cost is $15. Each participant should bring a sack lunch and wear comfortable clothes. Participants will learn a dance routine and cheer-perform Nov. 2 during the varsity football game.
