A 63-year-old woman who was hurt in a house fire Monday in the 1600 block of Valley Street in Atwater has died.
Family members identified the victim as Linda Perez.
Atwater police say thus far the fire appears to be accidental, although the fire remains under investigation.
Cal Fire responded to the fire Monday afternoon and found the single-story home filled with light smoke. The blaze was contained in about 10 minutes. Perez suffered from burns and smoke inhalation.
