This is cool: Low temperatures in 50s and 60s to bring relief

Here comes the cool weather: Temperatures will dip into the 50s Monday and Tuesday.

- cveiga@MiamiHerald.com

After sweating through the summer and feeling the fringes of Hurricane Sandy for a few wet days, South Florida is ready for some relief.

Here it comes: the cool change of temperatures in the 50s and 60s.

The relief will arrive Saturday night with a low around 70. Sunday’s low temperature will drop even further, to the low- to mid-60s.

And Monday and Tuesday nights? How does 54 sound?

Ahh.

From there, the temperatures will creep upward, said Chuck Caracozza, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Miami-Dade.

Through the weekend and into next week, expect dry, breezy weather, according to the weather service.

The cool nights and mornings will heat up to the mid-80s this weekend and the high 70s during the week.
