LIVINGSTON -- LIVINGSTON -- A 26-year-old man shot to death Sunday morning has been identified as Christopher Ray Labuga, who was killed while walking near Prusso Street and Sunrise Court in Livingston, police reported Monday.
Police haven't released any new details about the homicide, or a possible motive.
Officers responded to several calls of shots being fired in the area Sunday morning, Chief Ruben Chavez said. They arrived to find Labuga in the road, nonresponsive and with several gunshot wounds.
Paramedics tried to revive Labuga but were unsuccessful. He was pronounced dead at 6:30 a.m. Sunday.
Chavez said officers canvassed the neighborhood Sunday morning, looking for witnesses.
The homicide is the second reported this year in the city of Livingston and the 16th in Merced County.
