Alicia Rodriguez: Pedrozo cares about the community

I am involved in my community and fully aware of Merced County Supervisor John Pedrozo helping our community. We Planada residents, with collaboration and support of Pedrozo, now have safe places for youth to have activities, such as the César Chávez Multipurpose Cafeteria, Granada High School Athletic Field, Planada Community Hall and Senior Annex for youth and adults. Pedrozo helped with the Felix Torres Farmworker Housing and Child Care Center.

Yes, he gives funds for youth programs, food distributions and improvements for athletics or recreation areas. Why? Because he knows that is what our children need for a healthy life. Now he is helping with safety for the neighborhoods.

Le Grand and Planada have concerns with the high-speed rail project. He has helped to keep the project off ag land and save the splitting of family farms. Pedrozo led the fight and kept the project confined to existing transportation corridors and out of Le Grand and Planada.

Enough of the stone throwing. Get involved to know what you can do for your community.
