I am writing in response to a letter in support of the re-election of John Pedrozo. The writer urges voters to contact Pedrozo at his official county phone number to discuss the campaign and "cast an informed vote." If Pedrozo uses his county phone or any other public resources to campaign, he is breaking the law. Furthermore, Pedrozo is notorious for avoiding the voters in his district, or passing them off to staff minions.
My experience when I had a problem to discuss with him was to either talking to an underling or going to his voice mail. He is the only member of our Board of Supervisors who uses public money to hire assistants -- so he doesn't have to face the voters or the taxpayers personally.
The is just one of the many reasons for voters in District 1 to vote for change and elect Jim Pacheco.
