Around Town: Pancake breakfast at Weaver Middle School

Atwater Christmas Parade goes Victorian

ATWATER -- The Atwater Christmas Parade will start at 7 p.m. Dec. 7 at Ralston Park, Third and Fir streets. The theme this year is "Favorite Victorian Christmas Stories." Applications are available at, by calling (209) 358-4215, or can be picked up at 1181 Third St.

Free legal services for Merced area seniors

Central California Legal Services Inc. and Merced County provide free legal services to seniors. Clients must live in Merced County, be 60 or older and a U.S. citizen. Appointments are held in Dos Palos, Livingston, Los Banos, Atwater and Merced. Call (209) 385-7550.

Games, activities for Merced seniors

The Merced Senior Social Club meets every Friday at 9 a.m. at the Senior Center, 755 W. 15th St. There are many activities and games offered. All seniors and guests are welcome. If you are interested in joining, come and visit. Call (209) 383-6057.

Lions Club seeks glasses, hearing aids
