Vic Hurlburt: Thanks for help in poppy drive

Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4327, Merced, recently completed its weekend poppy drive at several locations around Merced. I would like to thank Raley's, the SaveMart at 150 Olive Ave., and Walgreens drugstore for their letting us set up our donation tables near their entrances. We again had a tremendous response, in spite of the current economic situation. It is noted that all donations go directly into the post's relief fund, which in turn is used to support returning combat veterans in time of need. A heartfelt thanks to all, and best wishes for the upcoming Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.
