Lynn Stapp, Arecely Cardenas: Red Ribbon Week a success

Peterson Elementary School recently celebrated Red Ribbon Week. Our theme was "The Best Me Is Drug Free," with numerous activities planned for the week, which included having a sports theme day and planting red tulip bulbs all around the campus. Our week was a great success and we wish to publicly thank Merced Garden Club and Kohl's department store for their many volunteers who helped out tremendously with the planting of the bulbs. We would also like to extend gratitude to Lowe's for the contribution of more than 800 red tulip bulbs, which made it all possible. We look forward to spring and the blossoming of our red tulips to remind us of our pledge to be drug free.
