I writing this letter to express my concerns for my daughter's new high school that she will starting next year. Their mascot is Gauchos.

The picture looks like a Mexican bandito. The picture looks like a gang banger. I find this offensive and racist. I do not think this is OK to glorify gangs in schools. I am sickened by the new high school's mascot. Gangs cause so much destruction and take so much from people. I am absolutely disgusted.

The school is El Capitan in Merced.
