LIVINGSTON — The Emmanuel Baptist Church of Livingston will soon welcome a new pastor.
Calvin Hogue, 80, will be welcomed in at 11 a.m. Sunday at the church on 1310 Main St. Everyone is invited to attend.
Hogue has been a pastor at two other locations in the Merced area. He was pastor of the Calvary Baptist Church on Yosemite Park Way from 1965 to 1968 and later served as an associate pastor of the Christian Life Center on Olive Avenue during the 1970s.
Hogue also spent 15 years as a "church planter" for the International Mission Board. He started two churches in Australia and one in Koln, Germany.
