Gingerbread House workshop at library

The Merced County Library will hold two Gingerbread House workshops for children ages 4 and up at noon on Dec. 8 and 4 p.m. on Dec. 11 at the library. This is a free workshop, but each child needs to bring a candy cane to decorate. For more information, call (209) 385-7643 to register.

Create Christmas crafts at Santa's Workshop

Hometown Christmas Parade is Saturday

The Active 20-30 Club of Merced, No. 53, will hold the 18th annual Hometown Christmas Parade starting at 3 p.m. Saturday. The festivities start at 11 a.m. in front of Bob Hart Square. There will be food, crafts and entertainment.

Friends of the Library Christmas book sale

Friends of the Merced County Public Library will hold their Christmas Book Sale from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Dec. 8 on the main floor of the library. All proceeds go to purchase new items for the library.

Christmas Open House at Courthouse Museum

The Courthouse Museum will hold its Christmas Open House from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday at the museum, 21st and N streets. Treats and eggnog will be served and there will be live entertainment. For more information, call (209) 723-2401.
