Sacto 911: Update: Major Roseville street open again after auto-pedestrian crash

Published: November 30, 2012

Harding Boulevard in Roseville is open again after being closed for five hours last night after a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle.

Roseville police spokeswoman Dee Dee Gunther said a man in his 40s was crossing southbound Harding Boulevard in the 200 block at 5:57 p.m. and walked into the path of a Toyota Prius. The driver was unable to stop in time and the vehicle hit the man.

The pedestrian was taken by ambulance to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries. His condition this morning was upgraded to serious.

Gunther said the accident occurred during rainy conditions, and the man was crossing in mid-block, not in a crosswalk.

Harding Boulevard remain closed until 11 p.m. Thursday while police investigators examined the scene.
