Andy Krotik: Good medical care available in Merced

For years Merced County has had this bad rap about substandard health care. Well, I must protest.

My dad recently died after spending 26 days in the Mercy Medical Center intensive care unit. The love and care from the ICU staff, pastors, social services, doctors and especially the RNs was unbelievable.

They made my dad and my family comfortable, informed, and demonstrated their care for my dad. As far as I am concerned, they are angels of God, caring for the sick, with gladful hearts.

I will forever be a defender of Merced's health care, and shall always hold the angels who attended to my dad with a grateful heart. God bless, and thank you.
