I would like to congratulate the Golden Valley High School marching band, which so brilliantly represented our community at the 2012 Hollywood Christmas Parade on Nov. 25 in Hollywood.
This parade, like the Rose Parade, is by special invite only and features the best bands in California. What an honor for these deserving band students and for Merced!
To all the band students who practice endlessly to achieve perfection and who unselfishly give up their weekends with family and friends to compete and bring back too numerous awards to list: You rock! Merced is so very proud of each and every one of you!
