As a result of the Immigration and Control Act of 1986 signed into law by one Ronald Wilson Reagan, 40th president of the United States of America, I obtained amnesty and eventually citizenship.

I am honored to defend Reagan's legacy for bestowing upon me and my family the greatest privilege on this green earth -- the right to call ourselves citizens.

It is my sincere desire for all Latinos to revisit the Republican Party or risk taking a back seat elsewhere.
