In response to the article ``School Employees Given a Voice Via Survey'' published on Nov. 30: Wow! "Between 73 percent and 96.9 percent of the employees said their department is going in the right direction; between 95.3 percent and 100 percent of the workers in the six divisions enjoy their work.'" Contrast this extremely high level of job satisfaction with what we have seen employees in the private sector facing as exemplified by the recent Black Friday strikes and Wal-Mart protests. Why are we obsessed with private industry jobs that tend to destroy their workers rather than prospering them? Why are we against unions that create the opportunities for such high job satisfaction?
Why are we so critical of our education system that, for its few faults, is doing an incredible job overall?
