The first annual Barbers and Businesses Giving Back event will be held from 1 to 5 p.m. on Saturday at 608 W. Main St. There will be free haircuts, food, drinks and raffles.

ATWATER -- Save Mart offers a S.H.A.R.E.S. card. Shoppers who use the card will allocate 3 percent of the purchase to Atwater Police Activities League programs.
ATWATER -- The Atwater VFW will properly dispose of any flags that are torn, soiled or just tattered out. Just drop it off at the post, 1390 Broadway, and it will be taken care of.
