I lost my husband of 52 years and this is the first Christmas without him. I was really feeling down as I was watching TV, or pretending to.

I heard the sirens and saw flashing lights from a police car coming very slow down the street, and I ran to the window to look out and low and behold, to my surprise it was Santa Claus. I really needed that -- my spirits was lifted. Thank you, Merced Police Department and the city of Merced, and God bless you, Santa Claus. Ho, ho, ho. Merry Christmas!
