Big-rig collision delays Interstate 5 traffic

LOS BANOS -- A collision between two big rigs was reported Sunday morning on northbound Interstate 5 about five miles north of Nees Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.

No injuries were reported in the crash, according to the CHP website.

The crash was reported shortly before 5:30 a.m. and closed both lanes of the highway for several hours, backing up traffic.

A detour was set up at Nees Avenue, east to Pole Line Road, north on Pole Line Road to Highway 165, west on Highway 165 back to Interstate 5.

CHP had opened one lane of traffic by 11 a.m.
