Merced police arrested a 17-year-old juvenile after he pulled a knife on another man during an argument Thursday night, Lt. Bimley West said.
Officers were called to a home on the 400 block of George Drive after neighbors reported hearing a loud altercation between the the suspect and victim.
West said the argument was regarding a cell phone, and escalated until the suspect pulled a knife on the 34-year-old victim. Officers arrested the suspect before he could harm the victim.
No injuries were reported, West said.
The suspect will be charged with brandishing a weapon, a misdemeanor charge.
