Man, 20, is injured in Livingston shooting

LIVINGSTON -- A 20-year-old man was hurt Wednesday night in a shooting reported near Park and Sixth streets in Livingston, according to Police Chief Ruben Chavez. No suspects were in custody.

Officers responded to the area and found the victim on the ground in the 1700 block of Park Street. The victim was suffering from gunshot wounds that appeared to be from a shotgun. The victim was taken to a local hospital and was expected to recover, according to Lt. Chris Soria.

The victim is affiliated with a gang, although the motive for the crime remains under investigation, police said.
