Two shot late Sunday in north Merced

Two men were shot Sunday night in the 3200 block of Meadows Avenue in Merced, police reported Monday.

After residents reported several shots were fired in the area, officers arrived on the scene about 10 p.m. to find two men, ages 19 and 20, bleeding from gunshot wounds.

One victim was taken to Mercy Medical Center, but his condition was unknown Monday night. The other man was released from a Modesto-area hospital after it was determined his injuries were not life-threatening.
