Around Town: Day will be filled with wine and chocolate

Merced College Community Services will hold a trip to the Lodi Wine and Chocolate Festival on Feb. 9. Cost of the trip is $95 per person and includes transportation, refreshments and entrance into the event. Wayward Ponies' open house Feb. 18

Yoga classes held at senior center

Youth benefit from swipes of S.H.A.R.E.S.

ATWATER -- Save Mart offers S.H.A.R.E.S. cards. When consumers shop at Save Mart and swipe the cards, 3 percent of each purchase goes to Atwater Police Athletic League to maintain important programs for our youth.

Flag disposal at VFW post

ATWATER -- The Atwater Veterans of Foreign Wars will properly dispose of any American flags that are torn, soiled or worn out. Drop off flags at the VFW post, 1390 Broadway. The post also provides wheelchairs and walkers at no charge to veterans in need. It holds Hamburger Night from 5 to 7 p.m. every Wednesday. Call (209) 358-7224.

Giants trophy will be at fairgrounds pavilion

The Giants World Championship Trophy Tour will visit Merced at 5:30 p.m. Feb. 11 at the Merced County Fairgrounds Pavilion Building. The event is first come, first served. Call (209) 385-7426 or email bbehn@co.merced.ca.us.

Flea, farmers market held on Saturdays

Merced Flea and Farmers Market runs from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. every Saturday behind the fairgrounds, 900 G St. EBT is accepted.
