Public Safety Center going up in Turlock

TURLOCK -- Progress on the new Public Safety Center in Turlock continues as the building's exterior gets its finishing touches.

The $33 million, 57,000-square-foot downtown facility will house the police and fire departments. Workers returned Wednesday after the long holiday weekend to install roofing and brick veneer.

The building at Broadway and Olive avenues is scheduled to open in the summer.
