I recently was taken to Mercy Medical Center via Riggs Ambulance Service. I could not have received prompter nor more professional care than what I received from the EMTs who responded to my husband's call to them.
We were to discover that one of the EMTs lives in our neighborhood, and his children came to our door on Halloween. These are the same men and women who will be unemployed if the supervisors of Merced County chose to replace Riggs with
another service. Riggs has been serving Merced County for as long as I can remember, and now they will be booted out.
What is wrong with the leaders of this community? They have contributed to our county for years and this is the thanks they get?
If this replacement takes place, I am truly ashamed of our leaders.
