Marie Louise Moschitto: County should stick with Riggs Ambulance

If our supervisors want to give the ambulance contract to a company whose home office is out of state, then we should also mail them our county taxes.

Why mail our money and pay Merced County if a local business we help pay for goes out of state? We are supposed to take care of our own. No matter what.

The city and county need local people to shop here in Merced County and Merced County cities and business.

Is this what the Riggs family deserves after all these years of paying city and county taxes through the business and properties they own?

Have you seen some of the equipment at the hospitals in Turlock and Modesto that AMR has? I have.

I had Riggs here at my house twice to take my sister to the hospital. They were prompt and very helpful. She had excellent care and they made sure she was in emergency before they left.

I thank Riggs' polite, cautious, and caring paramedics. Nice ambulance and very clean.

I want to take care of our own who people know and who have been here years.

Changing is not always the best. You know what you have and don't know what you will get.
