Club Mercedes menudo

Club Mercedes serves menudo every Sunday from 8 a.m. to noon, or until it runs out. Cost is $8 for a large bowl and includes tortillas, coffee and Mexican pastry. Beverages are available for an extra cost. There is dine-in and take-out service. Call (209) 383-9906.

Merced College classes

Sixth Street Cinema

Gardening classes

Mature drivers' classes

The Merced-Atwater Merced College Noncredit Office is offering mature driver improvement classes for residents over the age of 55, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Feb. 13 at the Merced Tri-College Center. This is a free, non-credit class. To enroll, call (209) 381-6541.

Rose pruning workshop

ATWATER -- The Atwater Garden Club will offer a free rose pruning workshop at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Bloss Memorial Rose Garden gazebo at Cedar and First streets. Bring pruning shears, gloves and dress warm. Call (209) 233-1814.

'Carnival of Chaos'

The Friends of the Merced County Library will host "Carnival of Chaos," a vaudeville variety show, at 11 a.m. Saturday on the main floor of the library, 2100 O St. This family entertainment program is free. Call (209) 385-7643.

SPCA meeting
