The Community Violence Intervention and Prevention Task Force recently announced that it is holding a basketball tournament Feb. 23 to support the Boys & Girls Clubs of Merced County.
Local law enforcement and other government agencies are expected to participate, and families and co-workers are encouraged to attend. There will be food and prizes.
Participation costs $30 and includes a T-shirt.
There will be a three-on-three men's and women's contest. One sub is allowed. There will also be a four-on-four co-ed tournament.
Participants will compete in brackets for different ages and skill levels. Four games will be guaranteed.
