Jan. 20 was National Right to Life Sunday, a day that was set aside 28 years ago by President Ronald Reagan to nationally recognize the sanctity of human life.
Jan. 22 marked 40 years of the pro-abortion decision, Roe v. Wade. As a result of this court ruling, 54 million babies have been aborted since 1973. What a shame! A March for Life took place Friday in Washington, D.C., and pro-life rallies took place across the nation.
I find it interesting that President Barack Obama wants to infringe on our Second Amendment right, saying, "if ... we can ... save even one child from what happened in Newtown, we should take that step." However, when he was in the Illinois state Senate, Obama voted to deny basic constitutional protections for babies born alive from an abortion not once, but four times. Obama's stance is very inconsistent.
