There was no shortage of entertainment on Main Street last Saturday night, with The Partisan and the Merced Theatre hosting popular musical acts.
The renowned Los Angeles band Fishbone rocked the Merced Theatre, along with Chico reggae band Mystic Roots.
Fishbone performed a variety of their most well-known songs, including "Everyday Sunshine," "Sunless Saturday" and "Ma and Pa."
Fishbone's current lineup includes three original members: Angelo Moore, also known as "Dr. Madd Vibe" (vocals, saxophone, theremin), Norwood Fisher (bass, vocals) and Dirty Walt (trumpet, vocals). The band also includes former Suicidal Tendencies guitarist Rocky George, Dre Gipson (keyboards, vocals), John Steward (drums) and Jay Armant (trombone, vocals).
The stop a the Merced Theatre was the first for Fishbone's West Coast tour.
On Saturday night, the San Francisco garage-rock duo Two Gallants visited The Partisan, playing songs from their new album, "The Bloom and the Blight."
Tyson Vogel and Adam Stephens founded Two Gallants in 2002. They took the band name from a story in James Joyce's "The Dubliners."
