Luau dinner to benefit music at Atwater High

ATWATER -- The Atwater High School Music Department will hold its annual luau dinner and auction from 5 to 9 p.m. Saturday in the Atwater High cafeteria, 2201 Fruitland Ave. Tickets are $10 and include Hawaiian- style pork, barbecue chicken, rice and macaroni salad. Wesley Foundation Valentine event set

The Wesley Foundation of Merced, a Christian organization focusing on the needs of college students, will sponsor a Valentine's event from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday in the Wesley Hall at the United Methodist Church, 899 Yosemite Park Way. Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. There will be tasty bites of dessert, fresh fruit and cheeses. A silent auction also will be held. Call (209) 722-6327.
