10-week class will help parents, teens connect

- dlambert@sacbee.com

San Juan Unified parents who need help reducing conflict between themselves and their teens can attend a free 10-week course offered by the school district.

Parents also will learn to increase their child's cooperation with family and school rules, and to recognize signs of gang involvement.

The Project Parent class will meet from 6 to 9 p.m. on most Wednesdays, beginning Feb. 27, at the Department of Human Assistance, 2700 Fulton Ave.

For more information, call (916) 979-8878 or go to www.sanjuan.edu/ parentproject.

Call The Bee's Diana Lambert, (916) 321-1090. Read her Report Card blog at http://blogs.sacbee.com/report-card/.
