This quarter the winners are Food 4 Less and Target stores; their shopping carts are in Rascal Creek for weeks and months. Together they have 15 carts between G Street and Highway 59. At about $100 per cart, that's $1,500. Who's managing that?
Some apartment owners also contribute to the problem. One of the apartments has trouble with shopping carts on the boulevard, the other with carts going into the creek from their apartments.
Laurel Glen Apartments has a parking space for carts, and they are picked up by cart service on site. Seems like a very good idea. No cart on the boulevard. Ever see shopping carts out front at Village Apartments? Never. They have an area for carts also. Thanks to Laurel Glen and Village Apartments for knowing how to contribute to our community and respect our citizens.
