Applications due for MCAG scholarships

The Merced County Association of Governments is taking applications for the Anna Marie Fuentes Scholarship for students in the Merced High School District. Applications are due Thursday. They are available at the MCAG office, 369 W. 18th St., at www.mcagov.org, or by calling (209) 723-3153.

Little League crab feed

ATWATER -- The Atwater-Merced Little League will hold an all-you- can-eat crab feed at 6 p.m. Saturday at the APC Hall, 1420 Third St. Tickets are $40 person and include all-you-can-eat crab, pasta and salad. The event will feature dancing, a dessert auction and drawings. Call (209) 761-4998.

64th enchilada dinner

HORNITOS -- The 64th annual Hornitos Enchilada Dinner will be held from 3:30 to 8 p.m. Saturday at the Stag Hall in Hornitos. Tickets are $12 for adults and $6 for children. The meal includes a choice of two enchiladas or chicken pie, beans, fresh salsa, garlic bread, coleslaw, sherbet, coffee and punch. Dine-in or take-out are available. Fried chicken lunch

Bethesda Apostolic Faith Church will sponsor a fried chicken lunch from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. March 8 at 1822 Canal St. Tickets are $10 each. The meal includes fried chicken wings, potato salad, green beans, roll, dessert and a drink. To order, call (209) 726-0533 by March 7.

De Young Museum trip

Merced College Community Services will offer a bus trip to see the "Rembrandt's Century" exhibit at the De Young Museum in San Francisco on March 9. PFLAG offers speaker

The Rev. Sr. Elena Kelly, co-founder of Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays in Stockton and co-chapter leader of Marriage Equality San Joaquin, will speak at the Merced PFLAG meeting at 7 p.m. March 12 at the United Methodist Church of Merced, 899 Yosemite Park Way.
