Richard Lewis: Use reason on gun issue

I taught my children to base their life decisions on reason rather than feelings. Feelings, by themselves, are not trustworthy and will change as the wind blows.

We now have the feel-good democrats, led by President Barack Obama with support from the media, trying to change the Second Amendment and take control of the guns in our society. They are using every emotional argument they can, based on the tragedy in Sandy Hook, to eventually steal the guns from the hands of law-abiding citizens.

Tyrants: Mao Tze Tung -- 20 million dead, Josef Stalin -- 20 million dead, Pol Pot -- 1 million dead, Idi Amin -- 300,000 dead.

Adolf Hitler took all of their guns before murdering 6 million Jews in World War II.

The Second amendment was put in the constitution to prevent these types of exterminations. I can only ask: What do you think?
